Although the 02-05 front end is more aerodynamic, I'm just not into those amphibian eyes that don't flush with the body lines since it's an afterthought.

how so? if ur referring to them failing, I've yet to see or hear of them failing. I can't say the same for Corvette lights.....

I've had 3 different cars with pop-up lights.
Owned for many years and many miles. FC, FD, NSX. All have worked flawlessly. I think the Japanese are good at the pop up lights. Vettes.... well I've seen some doing the one-eyed willy look....

I used to have the FD RX7 book where they had a page talking about how they 'simulated" that the headlights was snowed over and a the headlights needed to be strong enough to break free if there was iced over.
