The Mustang is not an ugly car, but its not as sexy as the Camaro.

I don't particularly see any standing up for the Mustang in that thread, I see two completely false statements, one that the 2014 concept isn't any different than the current model when it's going to be a complete redesign, and two saying that it's been the same for 15 years, which is RIDICULOUS.
not trying to cause an argument but i still see quite a few of the similar design on the 2 cars

Coming in with something negative to say, and JUST disagreeing because they do look similar, is trolling. You're not doing anything other than argue, why did you even join this forum? On another thread yesterday some new guy posted pics of his Camaro and everyone said congrats, nice car and all you said was "Learn to resize". That's trolling.

He's gonna argue for the sake of it, I see similarities too. No one's saying its the EXACT same, but he can't see that.

Rocket.....you need to check the history of the pony car. Camaros were around be for they were mas built. They were race cars and ford called there's the mustang chevy called there's the panther. Yes it was a car that was made for racing and was built for two years before the mas production of the CAMARO. I just wish chevy kept the panther name (Everyone knows that panthers eat mustangs)

He is delusional, the only "drastic" change has been the head lamps. I actually love the 5.0, it is a great car.. I said many positives of it and have even admitted, it would give me a run for my money on a course race with its lighter weight and handling on a road course where maybe not having an IRS could hinder.

However, as fast as exterior cosmetics are concerned, the side profile and rear tail lamps are the same base design. They changed the head lamps... fantastic. It has been the same, just the same way the F150 has been the same... but I cannot blame Ford because they continue to sell and stay competitive. Yet, the new design of the Camaro was fresh and it is sexy as hell so I went that route, I would be lying out my teeth if I didn't admit performance was near the same when stock...

Anybody who expects the Camaro to get less kudos than the Mustang on this site is just deluded. That being said, as an owner of neither vehicle and having no brand inclination toward Ford or Chevrolet/GM, both vehicles have their own pro's and con's from a styling perspective and both are egregious enough that I personally cannot say I prefer one over the other.

The Mustang's lines do exactly what I believe they are intended to do, pay homage to the '67-70 Mustangs of the past. Like those cars, there is nothing exagerated, and it comes off to many as plain or boring. The Camaro, on the other hand, takes a different approach. IMO, the lines are almost cartoonish. Sure, this give the car a "fresh" look, but the beauty really remains in the eye of the beholder. The rear end of both cars is weak, if not unattractive. Personally, I think the Mustangs does a better job in overall flow of the body lines, as the Camaro looks like one design was used from the doors forward and another for the rear portion of the car.

Interior goes to the Mustang overall, but again, both have their pro's and con's. In the end, my perceived flaws of the current generations of both pony cars are keeping me from buying either one, including the GT500 and ZL1 versions, and I will likely hold out hope that the next generation of both offers something better for my hard earned $$.

To those that have both cars, enjoy them, but please quit acting like one is truly superior in all aspect to the other. It's simply not true and comes down to a matter of personal preference. In any case, there was nowhere to go but up from the GenIV Camaro/Firebird anyway. I detest those cars to the Nth degree, with the Camaro version losing to the Firebird. Find me a woman who truly thinks that generation was "sexy" and it'll be the same girl who finds Adrian Brody good looking.

What? Show me a picture pre 1967 of a Panther aka Camaro that was used for racing. The name Panther was considered but ultimately Camaro won out.
I need you to prove me wrong here and teach me some history, but until you do, I'm calling BS on this. Has anyone EVER heard of a Panther and why is it no where to be found.
