I have not had a front license plate on any of my cars, well it was there but I removed it... LOL Anyway I live in California, we call it a... reason to pull you over... If they don't "need" to pull you over for anything like speeding etc... but they really "want" to... that will be the "reason". Otherwise they leave you alone, it's not worth their time most of the time. I'm sure if you piss one off while they have you pulled over, I'm sure he would be more than happy to write it up too. Anyway I have been driving for 16 years and never been pulled over for it. *knock on wood*

Same goes for something hanging from your rear view mirror, or lightly tinted front windows.

Thanks for the pictures. While you were looking, do you think it would be possible to have one of the hidden plates retract into a slot in the lower grill insert?

Only if you hack up the teeth in the grill. I think it would be better under the lower grill.
