Camaro 2010-2011 Differences and Updates

I am very confused when I see Camaros on the road. I don't know if they are V6 or V8. The only differences I can see on the body is when they have the RS package. Besides that, they all look almost the same to me. Can you tell me some of the major differences?

From the back it is hard to tell. The SS will have an SS logo, v6 will have nothing. If it has an RS badge, it is an v6. From the front a V8 will generally have the mail slot, the v6 wont.

These are stock conditions of course. People can and do change the badging on their cars.

Mail slot in the front and lower spoiler is fairly obvious. The next thing I look at is the brakes. SS has a much larger brake caliper.

From the front, the SS has a mail slot and extended chin. From the side, you can still see the chin and brembos. From the back, the SS has a bigger exhaust tip plus the SS badges (white or red).

V8 will have a mail slot in the hood, a spoiler on the trunk and will have dark gray brembo brakes with red writing. V6 will have a steel colored break. A RS V6 will look almost like a V8 because it will have 20" rims and a spoiler. Just remember to look for the mail slot and look at the brake pads. You can even see the pads when the vehicle is moving. And of course a V8 will have SS badges!

Do you guys think it's worth converting a Non-RS into an RS ?

Are there any differences in the rear bumpers?

As for converting, it depends on if you like the look of RS that much better. It is a fairly expensive thing to do to completely convert. Headlights alone are probably going to run $1k.

No, the RS package is cheaper than the parts separately.

Yes, the rear diffuser (black thing, bottom center) will have larger fins. Aside from that, larger tailpipes and that's it.

From the back I look for the spoiler first, then at the exhaust tips or if there is a badge. Front I just look at the bumper.
