Borla Touring or GMPP axleback?

I'd like a quality, low-cost axle back that gives that deep-bass resonance at idle and roars nicely on revving, like FM American Thunder but not as aggressive. From what I can hear on the video clips, these two seem to fit that bill and sound pretty identical. I want more sound than stock, but I don't really want to hear the exhaust note in the cabin until I lean on it. Which would you get?
Thanks

Look into Solo Performance! Great sound...no drone!

don't spend the absurd amount of money on the GMPP.... so borla itself is a great option.

I went Borla S type axle back, picked it up for about 500-550 bucks.

The touring exhaust is BARELY louder than stock... only noticeable improvement is the tone.

If you want an exhaust that is quiet when needed and throaty as hell at start up, go for the Borla S type. It is not overwhelming, and the axle back has no cabin noise at all unless you hit 1700-2000 rpms on the highway.

I run this set up, and I run it with headers. Even then the in cabin does not bother me... but start up and wide open throttle are incredible.

I have the GMPP offroad and it was neither cheap, nor is it quiet. Especially with Long headers, if that's in your plans. I've been looking at the Borla touring to quiet it down, but everytime I drive it, I just can't give up on what I have now, even with the drone and rumble. I just don't drive it long distances at a speed where drone is the worst, especially with the added weight of a passenger.

I have GMPP and on cruise control on hills it DROANS. If I give it a little gas it stops. I would like to switch to something quieter when crusing

Yes Borla makes the gmpp exhaust. I have the touring with long tubes and it sounds awesome. If you don't plan on getting headers, then get the s-type.

Interesting! The Borla-S sounds OK too but if you listen to the Borla comparison video of the Touring, S and ATAK, I can't tell the start-up difference and revv between Touring and S, and I thought Touring would be a bit more tame inside where I want it, no? Both sound really growly on start, love it...

I just installed a cat-back Borla S-type. Wow what a difference over stock. I had a hard time deciding between the S-type and Atak. I'm satisfied with my choice mainly because it's great sounding when you get on it, but not overwhelming when cruising. At idle you can hear the engine go blub blub blub.

David Borla in his video where he compares all three system states that the touring isn't much louder than stock. At first I was wishing the new pipes were a little louder. But after driving it the sound at 1500-2000 RPM was always there, definitely louder than stock but you can carry on a conversation, listen to the radio, etc., without being drowned out. When you jump on it, man it opens up. My understanding is the exhaust will be even louder once you install headers which will eventually come once I feel confident about the motor.

While the Atak sounds great, I didn't want the constant sound like I was at the track. And once I move to headers, I was concerned the noise would be too loud. Great if I was racing the car, but not for my weekend driver.

Send a PM to Apex-Speed. They gave me a great deal on the Borlas.

I have Corsa cat-back exhaust. I love it. No drone when cruising, of course the AFM is a little annoying but its not bad. The Corsa gives you a nice sound when idling and a deep sound when reving or accelerating. I'd go with a cat back system, personally. Better flow and it is lighter than stock exhaust. 20 or 25 LBS I think, not positive. I could definitly tell a difference between stock and catback Corsa. But get what you want, I would try to hear them first!
