sprayed it with a little too much nitrous and blew a connecting rod out the side of the block which subsequently took out the front right tie rod... which then allowed the front right tire to go out, then in and it buckled... at which point, the car flipped and I crossed the finish line upside down... at about 140mph

Sorry to hear that, but glad you made it. Cuda's are bad ass cars.

She started out as my dads car... only reason I was driving was because I weighed 40lbs less than my dad... but once I flipped it, mom told dad "no more" and the car became mine to have. my whole family are mopar lovers. and I loved the cuda. dirty green like money... but my first car is the 78 camaro which is still in my garage as we speak. and she's dirty green too, but thats cus the clear coat is gone...lmao

The cuda had a 440 six pack with a "hidden" nitrous system. dad and I had fabricated the fuel cell to have a separate section just for the nitrous bottle. ran the lines inside wire looms and oversized fuel lines. and had the solenoids mounted in the intake valley sandwiched between the intake manifold and a custom valley plate with the port injectors tapped to the inside/bottom of the intake runners.

then.... got kicked off the track for the rest of the year cus we were running in a N/A class

only reason the track officials said anything was because the lack of spilled fuel on the track even tho there was "a huge split in the fuel cell"

upon closer inspection as we were dragging the car back on the trailer, they noticed the bottle inside the fuel cell "extension" and then started looking harder at the car.

but as Smokey Yunick always said "There's two types of people in this world, losers and cheaters."

the 80 Aspen was supposed to be an RT model, the body had the look, but either someone swapped the motor out for a slant six or someone messed up at the factory, cus it was supposed to have a 318ci V8. so we ended up taking the 318 out of the Ram pickup and stroking and poking it and dropping it into the Aspen.

Wow some of you guys are prolific car buyers! I have only had about a dozen or so cars for myself over the last 30 years not including what I have bought/leased for my wife over the last 23 years!
Personally I like something new every few years for warranty and reliability. I hate huge repair bills. Right now we have 3 cars and I am definitely trading my G6 next year and even toying with trading my 2010 Camaro for a 2012.

12 years of driving, and I've had 3 cars, 2 of them are still in my possession.

I must be slacking...

And you probably have a ton of money in the bank. I could be retired if I would have lived like that.

34 years of LEGAL driving (any good motorhead has the "growing years" of driving) and way too many to count.

The disease I'm more concerned with is the "having too many cars at once syndrome";

2012 Camaro Convertible
2004 Harley Davidson lowrider
2006 Nissan Xterra
2000 Chevy work van
1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX
1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS

(that doesn't include my trailer or other crap like that)

C'mon now, why the hell would I need that many vehicles? Just the cost of registration and insurance and taxes is stupid.....and yet I find a reason to have them. Go figger

I've had two cars, and I've been driving since I was 16. 18 now, and number three might be on its way soon.

If you can afford them, it's not too many.

No clue how many I've had "in my lifetime" thus far, but I do know what I want next!
