I would say paint it, unless you have other satin black pieces to help contrast.

Mine is IOM and painted IOM. If I had black stripes I would have painted it black to match the stripes.

There are 3 ways to do it.
Leave it unpainted.
Paint it the same color.
Painting a different color. I like this especially with Black. PQ has his like this and I like it a lot.

I have an IBM with matte black stripes, and I left mine unpainted. It flows great with the stripes and ground effects. I absolutely love how it looks, you can see it in my sig.

Honestly though, with black... it's going to be tough to tell either way. I'd leave it unpainted and save the cash.
