I once got pulled over for speeding, unsafe lane change and wreckless driving.
(not in the camaro and not recent)

and when the cop was explaining all this to me i listened to him and as he got done talking and said he was going back to his car to write my tickets, I said "officer did I use my signals every time I changed lanes?" Yep. "did I cut anybody off?" nope. "Did i lose control of my car, or go more than 20 over the limit?" nope. "so really how many tickets are you going to write me? because I'm sure you have my driving and your conversation with me on that dash cam in your car." He stopped thought for a moment, handed my licence and registation back and said "Dont EVER let me see you agine."

I used to be c0cky back in the day (not so much any more)

so yes when I am stupid I still use my signals!
It has saved me from a few tickets since also.

Not quite the trunk monkey, but I wouldn't mind using this for a turn signal sometimes...

Other than that, I only signal when there is someone around me it might affect. I don't feel the need to signal when I am sitting at a stop light in the left turn only lane. If you're too stupid to realize I am turning left, my signal isn't going to help you. I also scratch my head at people who signal turning out of their driveway.
You sir are part of the problem even in a turn lane signaling is required by law whether you feel it is stupid or not.
