I think another factor no one really considers when looking at the price is that everything they buy and make is 100% Made in the USA. Also, they are not a huge company, they a small company with a lot of loyal customers, they do not produce in huge quantities like OTC products, so that has to cost more also.

Adams products are second to none and like a few others have said, watch for the daily specials. Also, use Camaro5 in the promotional code box for 10% regularly priced items

Paying a little more is worth having great customer service and Dylan has even made a call to me over the weekend to take care of an order I made. Who else does that?

That rite there is why it is worth it to pay a little more for what I believe is a top notch product. Just try to talk to the owner of some of the other brands and see how far you get. And not to mention " MADE IN AMERICA " , let's keep our people working.

Theres a number of factors that contribute to our pricing, and if you ever make it out to Colorado to see us you'll know we're not getting rich selling this stuff.

A couple of key things to consider:
  • Everything is backed with a 110% money back satisfaction guarantee. You don't like it? We buy it back for what you paid for it +10%.
  • Additionally, the warranty covers tools and equipment FOR LIFE... a PC purchased elsewhere get the standard manufacture 1 year warranty. If you buy thru us we cover it for as long as you own it and that goes for car dryers, vacs, and other polishers as well.
  • We provide unmatched customer service, typically going above and beyond on any issues. Talk to any number of customers who have dealt with us.
  • We provide free training seminars, sponsor events like C5Fest, do forum contests and give aways, employ people (like myself) who are present and active on forums almost all day every day to help with questions and are contributing members of the forum, not just someone coming on to sell you stuff and leave.
  • Our line is dedicated to domestic manufacturing. Where many companies slap a "MADE IN THE USA" on their bottle and rely on the technicality that the chemical is made here they are typically selling it in a bottle made in china, with a sprayer made in china, etc. With our stuff the chemical is made here, the bottles are made here, the caps are made here... with a few exceptions in our line where reasonable alternatives don't exist our entire line is made in the USA.
  • Each and every one of our products is still hand bottled, hand labeled, hand capped, and hand packed in Colorado. Not the most efficient way of doing things, but it keeps us more in tuned with what we're shipping out and allows for excellent quality control.
  • If you've ever gotten a shipment from us you know we use extra thick boxes, tons of packing material, and a lot of care to minimize the chances your stuff gets damaged. Compare one of our boxes to a box something else is shipped to you in... you'll see a big difference I'm sure.
  • And lastly we're small... our total staff consists of less than a dozen full time employees. We don't produce in volumes that allow for massive discounting. While we're fairly popular here and growing, we're still a very small outfit in the grand scheme of things.

It is difficult to grasp the time and money into producing products. The bottling itself absorbes a good amount of the cost. Adam also uses high quality labels. They are expensive. If you notice, Adam ships in the beefiest boxes you can buy. I have ordered other brand products and they do not come in the same quality boxes. This all adds up quick.

As stated above, having products made in the USA tends to be more expensive than China. Mequires doesn't really care about USA/China, so you'll see a little price difference.

Being a dealer, I see what products cost and I can tell you the markup is not like clothing! I run the tent at Carlisle for Adam and do a few clinics every year, as well as shows. These all cost a fortune to put up, in time and $, and are all FREE for the customers. Mequires attends shows, but they don't put on clinics as much.

I was in PepBoys not too long ago and noticed the Mequires Clay (200g) was more expensive than Adam's Clay (200g). And there are much more expensive detailing products out there. Adam nicely fits above OTC and below the rediculously expensive. I think it's priced right.

You beat me to it Dylan!

BTW, Dylan just flew across the country to come out to PA to put on a killer detail clinic. I woke his butt up at 4am last Saturday and drove him half way across the state for him to talk all day and lose his voice! At least ya got a Jim's Steak!
