Front Bumpers Interchangeable?

Does anyone know if the front bumpers of the LT and SS versions are interchangeable? Are there functional component differences that make it impossible for a 1-for-1 swap with no cutting?

nope, just abot 8 screws and a bunch of guide screws. Easy to do a swap. Only thing is they do not recommend it for the SS because it needs more air.
Im hoping for an IOM SS swap for my IOM 2LT/RS

Is there anything from GM that stated that or is that someone's opinion?

Technically the bumper is a heavy beam across the front of the car. What you mean, I think, is are the front fascias interchangable. The sheet metal parts btween the two cars have no differences that should prevent the fascia from going on either car. But the point was made, and it should be considered, the SS fascia has larger opening for cooling. So putting an SS fascia on an LT should be ok not I would be VERY careful if you are thinking of an LT on an SS. That I wouldn't do.

Thanks # 3. Yes, I meant the fascia. That was what I had in mind because I was going to also add the heritage grill to fill out more of the "retro effect" while still having the V8 and other standard SS functionality. Understanding that the V8 needs more cooling, I guess more research would have to been done to see if any re-routing or increasing of circulation could be had under the LT fascia. We generally have to do this to our racebikes but this is a little bigger animal. Thank you again.
