Is the GMPP fuel door metal or plastic?

I think it would stick out too much on a black car, can it be powdercoated?

Yes it is metal, aluminum brushed. Camaro Scotty confirmed this in another thread I just read... like 2 min. ago. It attached to a plastic clip/arm
