I guess Weld fixed the issue of them rubbing the LCR. Well, good choice anyways. I was gonna buy welds at first, But when I heard all the horror stories about the welds tearing up peoples LCR and ruining their rims, and then Weld leaving them out to dry with no help. It was an easy choice for me to go with Bogarts. My car is lowered, and these babies fit like a glove! No worries, no rubbing, no grinding. My LCR shows no signs of rubbing.

Here is a link if anyone is interested. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158733

I honestly don't know if they "fixed" anything at all. I am fully aware of the several people that have had problems with them in the past, I've been following the "saga" ever since the first problems surfaced. I'm not sure what they could do about it though, the specs are the same whether early or late release. I suppose all I can do is hope they fit without any problems. I have Pfadt coilovers, but I don't really run them any lower than stock anyways. I guess we'll see how it goes, I'll let ya'll know how it turns out when I get them mounted.

And don't get me wrong, I really like the Bogarts too. I think they look great! But they are quite a bit more expensive, and the Welds are more of a street-friendly wheel too.

Yeah, me too! The bad part is, after purchasing these wheels and tires, I probably won't be able to afford them 'til next Summer. But they are definitely 1st priority on my "need" list! Didn't you have to modify your stock LCA's? And I thought either you or somebody else had to actually notch their Pfadt Trailing Arms too??? I think you were kinda the "pioneer" on this whole ordeal, weren't you?!?!? Weld basically ignored the problem and wouldn't do anything for you, if I remember correctly.

Very true. Bogarts are not recommended to be used for Dailey driving. Be sure to post up pics. I'm curious to see how you make out. Good luck. Hope things work out for ya.

Guys, the link that I added on the updated first post says this about the 17" rims in the notes section - "Lowered Cars require Spohn C20-222 lower control arms" hope this clears up some confusion on whether the 17" rims fit lowered cars without issue.

yes i may have been the first to see it. yes i had to notch the lower arms and they still hit. i went to the track about 2 wks ago in hopes the notch was deep enought but it was'nt i deleted the pic i had after notching the arms but i will say they are about 3/4' wide and deep and still hit under a hard launch

I had one of the first sets of the Weld RTS 17" wheels on my 2010. They fit over the factory brembo's and never rubbed the LCA. I will buy another set for my current car in the coming months.

I'm just wondering.....if it hits on a 1" lowered car....what does it do on a stock height car when it squats more than an inch? Food for thought.

Yeah, ya know, that's a funny thing because part number C20-222 does not exist. There is a C10-222, maybe it was just a typo

Besides, one of the forum members (can't remember exactly who it was) had the Spohn arms and they STILL rubbed on the wheels!!! I'm going to keep my rear suspension at stock ride height (maybe even a tad higher), until I can afford the BMR LCA's. I have a much better feeling that BMR has resolved this issue with their new adjustable LCA's.

There is discussion from BMR in this thread (link below) that these LCA's are compatible with the 17" Weld wheels....even on lowered suspensions.

Lot's of discussion (both good and bad) about the fitment of these 17" Weld Wheels in this thread:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142523

If you haven't been following the "drama" and are interested....it's worth a good read.
