Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex rumor - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

OK Group,

I visited my dealer this morning to move my priority # down so I can get my 2LT/RS in Summit White.

The Sales Manager told me that ALL of the V6 dealer models were to be in Dallas by April 15 as there is an zone dealerships General Manager meeting that day in downtown Dallas. Per this guy, each dealership is to pick up their V6 floor model w/ a car cover at the meeting and drive it back to each respective dealership. The car is then supposed to be kept covered until May 5th or 6th, whatever the official debut date is.

The synic in me says "yeah, ok"; but, the realist that's ordered my last 5 cars new knows that the "on-the-ground" date should be around 4/12-15 based on when the units were released from the factory and started moving.

Keep an eye out around this time next week as there should be cars in showrooms to drool over.

Not gospel - just trying to build a puzzle and the pieces are starting to fit together.

I'll still be waiting. :( I should have ordered WAY earlier. Now I get to wait and watch as everyone gets their car and drives them all around town. LOL

I hear ya! I kick myself literally everyday for not ordering sooner. I ordered March 5th how about you?

I ordered went up there on March 30th and told the salesman everything I wanted. Then got a call verifying everything before they entered it into the system on April 3rd.

It's a pretty large dealership and they didn't have near as many pre-orders as Classic. So I am hopeful that I won't be waiting a crazy long time. We will see...
