Replacing tires on LS

first of all, apologies for such 'uninformed' questions, but I'm getting fairly close to having to replace my stock 18" tires. Looking on-line at Discount Tire, the price I see is about $226.00 per tire. Is this because of the TPMS?

There's also a same sized tire, same manufacturer, for $117.00 per tire. that's more than $100.00 difference! any clues as to why?

The Radial T/A Spec (second link) are your OEM tires. They're rated for 118 mph.

The gForce T/A's are Z rated (150ish mph).
That's probably the difference in price. TPMS shouldn't matter

Edit: Nice ABM LS by the way!

Just a suggestion - there are LOTS of wheels and tires available from other forum members in that section of the forum - especially the 18". You might want to check them out, you can get wheels and tires with the TPMS much cheaper than buying retail.

I like the LS wheels and would keep them if I was you. I wish they came stock on the SS, they look like the originals from the 60's.

Yeah, I kept my LS wheels too. I just had them put back on for the winter and I think I like them just as good as my new chrome ones!
