there's more L99s out there then there are LS3s, yet on the "official fast list" for stock cars, the top 9 are LS3. 21 of the top 25 are LS3. that should answer any question of which is faster.

^ Well there is somthing to be said about that. Most of those people on the fast list have years of driving exp. For the average joe the auto may be faster for them.

just saying

I agree with you though. it comes down to the driver however.

This thread has all the ingredients for a s**t explosion lol LS3 VS L99 VS 5.0...I'll light the fuse. It doesn't matter, the 5.0 will never lose to any F-Body ever!!! It is unbeatable!!!

Let's ask it this way, which is slower LS3 or L99. Same answer, the LS3 is you don't shift right.

I'm sticking with the L99, cause while they are working to not miss a shift as they will, I'm changing radio stations, adjusting the air, moving my seat around as I drive by them. All I have to concentrate on is my foot hitting the floor with the gas pedal.

I'm confused title says one thing Camaor "2010 vs 2011", questions ask two other things "LS3 vs L99 vs Mustang 5.0". What are we trying to answer?

Bro every LS3 camaro I raced and base model Vettes I kill them...So whther they can launch good or not they go down and see my tail lights...Tap shift shifts faster than a human despite its rated 26 more HP at the crank...

I need to get that GOPRO so i can show you guys...SMH

the LS3 is the faster car, period. driver error does not make the car slower. If you're racing in a L99 against say a '10 mustang, and your foot slips off the gas pedal, and you get passed. does that mean the 300 hp mustang is faster? no, it means the driver screwed up. believe it or not, some people that buy manual actually know how to drive them. more power + more torque + less weight = go faster

Bro your posts crack me up. You beat the driver, not the car. Stock for stock, LS3 when properly driven will beat an L99. And a stock LS2 or LS3 Vette should hand you your ass, the problem is, you're racing geriatric patients in their Vettes so they don't know that you're really racing them. Your car is not trapping 115mph, which is what you would need to just hang with a base LS3 Vette.
