So let me get this straight guys... if you put vinyl on your car, after you remove the vinyl (from wear and tear over years), the paint will have to be redone?
Thanks for the answers.

Very odd to me!! If you're going to spend the money on paint, go custom!
Really? Man, I think those stripes are PERFECT. That is the way I would want mine if I were getting them. Which I am not.

Yes, because once you take them off you will see that your original paint is probably different that what is under the stripe. If you just restripe though it should not be a problem if your paint still looks nice. This is one very good reason to get your stripes painted on.

I like the stripes.
The biggest thing I didn't like or at least would have done differently is wrapped the paint on the back side of the rear deck lid and the bottom of the hood near the windshield. The only reason the vinyl leaves a gap there is because it is easier to install and less likely to peel.

No reason to leave the gaps if painting.

No worries, to each their own.

Mine will look just like BumbleBee's, really fat and much longer.
I'm also going metallic. I wasn't sure at first but then I saw a bunch of metallic striping on non-metallic paint jobs at the DC auto show and they all looked great.
