And that's great, I have a deep respect for musical talent and such, just saying that I hope someone isn't going to put a kid down just because they don't know a band member from a band that started WELL before they were born. They don't teach us about the Beetles in school ya know... well, unless you're taking a music history class or something like that

Funny you mentioned this because it's kinda on topic:

A friend of mine and his wife went to an Aerosmith concert a few years back and while waiting in line to go into the arena, a young girl was talking about how good the band was live or so she had heard. My buddy said "Yeah the last time I saw Aerosmith they were great". The girl asked "Oh did you see them in '91 when they were here?". "No. That was in 1978". He said the girl just looked puzzled and was silent.

I was taught about the Beatles in 7th Grade Civics because of how their music was tongue-in-cheekily politically outspoken and generationally symbolic. I don't hate on you at all, bro. I'm only 28; it was well before I was born too. But then again my parents raised me on the Beatles.

it's amazing that people don't pick stuff up just from watching tv. one time my mom went into a music store and asked about an Elvis dvd and the young guy was confused.
' you mean Elvis Costello?'
back in the 90s there was a baseball player named Jay Bell. he was being interviewed once and mentioned the 1950s show Home Run derby that ESPN was rerunning. he talked about a great Yankee player he had seen.
Interviewer: 'you mean Mickey Mantle?'
Bell: 'yeah, that was his name!"

I met a dude in Roxbury (Boston) who told me his name was Monty Python. He had a hella ugly girlfriend, and his boyfriend was some big dude he met in prison.

BTW, it's "Beatles" as in musical 'beat' - not "Beetles" as in 'bug'

Does anyone remember when a national spelling bee championship, in the early 1970's, came down to "beetle" as the last word, and the poor kid spelled it with the "A"?

It's Sir Paul McCartney - He's been Knighted.

ALL THESE NEW "ARTISTS" LOOK LIKE LOW CLASS TRASH. THATS' WHY I DON'T KEEP TRACK OF THEIR NAMES OR ANAGRAMS.

in 2012 you have to act and LOOK LIKE TRASH to be a SUCCESS.

I'M GLAD they have on clue who "Paul McCartney" is. Hope they never do.

I DONT RECALL SIR PAUL WALKING AROUND with his pants dragging on the ground and his underpants exposed. Also he makes SOUNDS from his mouth that resemble musical notes.

he is not rapping about his HOE'S AND HIS BLING....AND HIS CRIB...AND grabbing his ding dong

Who is this OLD GUY NAMED SIR PAUL....HE IS SO WEIRD LOL
