Don't worry about criticism, it exists everywhere and in pretty much everything we do.
they are actually silver... but do seem to be more shiny then others. I have a great coat a wax on them though.. could be why they seem glossier....
def not as glossy as painted though. When they fade or start to peel as they will in time, I will be painting them on... painted ones look awesome, not that the oem ones dont...

Some say that art is the highest form of self-expression. Others, consider music as the apex. Either way, it is well known that the artisans in any field MUST have cast iron cajones to withstand the critique of media as well as the casual observer.

I view the 5th gen modders as artists laying their mark on one of the sexiest cars in recent history. They too, need to cowboy up and be ready to accept praise; as well as criticism.

it is extremely relevent...
at least on a forum as it makes you seem as a troll
no different then the guy who complained my 55 wasnt original.. ok wheres your car? i dont have one... so your bashing mine since it isnt how you would make yours? get your own and make it how you want it and let me do the same...
as for merit. I am far more apt to give a fellow owner more merit for an opinion on a car then someone who just likes to tear them up because they dont have one.
not saying youve done that but it is more the norm here than not

while I am not alone in my argument, there are valid arguments from all sides...
you need thick skin on a forum like this...
if a guy told me my car was stupid in person, thats fine. roll with it, if he took a 10 min period of time to tell me ALL that was "wrong" with my car... different story. thats where people hide behind a computer and bash
Agreed. I've moderated on a few large automotive forums and people very often lose their minds when they're not face to face. I don't understand it.

That said, I haven't said anything here that I wouldn't say to your face. I'm not trying to be rude and I hope it didn't come across that way, I just think that most all of us have been around long enough to realize that whether it's internet bravado or in-person rudeness, the world is full of it...it doesn't even deserve my attention, nor yours.

youve brought some very valid points, as all else have. theres a ton of ways to look at it.. but if a guy takes the time to do something to his car, it means he cares about it.
while im not into the civics and similar, at least they are taking an interest in something car...
vs not....

Most comments I get are from wannabes with nothing. I don't have my Camaro yet, should by Easter, but with my old Monte, it ranges from why bother spending any money on a car like that to spending way too much for my pocketbook for stuff I don't need. I get why one should keep a vehicle all original, and I also get why one would want to change things to express themselves. I say, to each their own. I am middle of the road, maybe even sleeper type personality, but if I saw an all orignal Camaro, or a completly modded up one with all kinds of bling, I know which one I would prefer, but I respect the fact that each owner takes pride in what they drive either way.

very well said.
criticism abounds everywhere. but I feel there are 2 types of criticisms. a guy just sharing an opinon that may help you, and a guy who is just trying to be an a$$
but I agree
