I purchased one also but still having a problem with it not a very good positive shift and down shiften is a bit hard to do. I am hoping that it will break in some so I do not have to replace it.

I would like to see BARTON come out with pistol grip in differant colors thers a company at cartersfabanddesign.com you might have heard of them they have a pistol grip in differant colors the only thing is they only make them for auto tap shift but the colors allow them to personalize there rides I think something like this would look nice on a manual tranny. just a thought

Who sells Barton's? Only their site? Or do they have vendors?

The Hurst unit Imo is not made very well, The shift lever is connected to the upper stick attchment with only two littel hex screws. Problems waiting to happen, Like grinding, and wobbel from left to right also vibreation.

This has been EXACTLY the same way almost all Hurst manual shifters have been constructed since the early 60's. And hasn't been a problem for close to 50 years. Many Hurst shifters run an upper stick that is several feet in length and with all that leverage still no problems. Any first gen Camaro owners having problems with the stick connecting bolts on their Hurst shifter?...

... didn't think so.

My Barton ROCKs. I give it a 10 outa 10. Top notch service and a great product at a very fare $$$.even thoe there are a few with the hurst that like buzzing noises I don't. I have had plenty of hurst shirters that never made the buz or rattle that some clame. But for some reason i don't think they figured it out with this shifter. Don't get me wrong the shifters all shift well but for me its the hole package that I'm concerned with. For a co that makes aircraft parts they make one helluva shifter.
