Money has nothing to do with it.
Fact of the matter is that you have 30-40 people behind you. Your responsibility is to make sure they get out okay. If a collision is unavoidable then the operator is actually trained not to brake or swerve because that could injure passengers far more than the collision itself. This was last year...the operator luckily had no passengers on his bus and technically went against procedure by swerving at the last minute. The car started out in the intersection in the background.
