I didn't do the RS because all I wanted were the headlights, which I can add for about $600

Imo the RS is one of the defining characteristics of the 5th gen and really complete the look of the car. I'd never get a 5th gen that didnt have them but then again i am very picky...

It all comes down to what works best for you but Im all for the RS package. Plus, lets be real here, they look awesome!

I'm partial to the RS/SS combo because I have a 69 RS/SS car.... I'm looking at the orange vert with upgraded interior and hurst short throw shifter. I talked to the GSM today and the offered me a decent deal... $700 under invoice plus $1500 dealer cash. I also have a private offer from GM. However, they then added $400 in doc fees which sucks. Ultimately, it's a couple hundred dollars off of where I want to be and that doesn't account for having to drive 8 hours to go get it or pay to have it shipped. Anyone have any experience with having their car shipped?

Yeah and guys with the manual SS with no RS, I guess that's a Prius? Pointless word vomit. BMW lights and 20" rims don't make this car.

I finally negotiated a reasonable deal with the sales manager and was ready to wire them a deposit and I brought up removing the stripes (which I had discussed with othe original salesman who had agreed to do so) and he said no. I asked if he was willing to lose a deal over removing a stripe which would cost them time but no money (per se) and he said I guess so. Is that crazy to u guys? From what I've read, it doesn't seem to be a big deal to take them off. How would u guys approach this?

What other accessories are you looking to add? There's no way you should be paying 50k for an '11 vert (or anywhere near that) unless you're opting for upgraded wheels, engine cover, cargo net, premium floor mats, footwell lighting, etc.

Perhaps you can wait a couple of months longer, '13's should be coming out in July / August and you should be able to get a better deal on a leftover '11' or even a '12.

HOWEVER, regardless from whom you buy, you DEFINITELY want to read up on the Convertible forum side about (potential) convertible top problems MY 11 and 12's have had. It's DEFINITELY something you'd be well-advised to read up on, study and examine in-person on the lot, when shopping for your convertible.

BTW, check out Beck D's inventory:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43480

A LOT of folks who've purchased from her dealership are VERY happy, according to feedback. ... Good luck!
Baba, makes sense.

I'm one of Becky's VERY happy customers, 2011 SS/RS vert and no rub marks. Took it out of hibernation last week, changed the oil and it seems to run even smoother. Forgot how much I love this car!! Oh, and the $3,000 or so Becky saved me. Call Becky FTW!!!

I talked to Becky and she was awesome. She found the car I wanted but when she called the dealership, they had already sold it... She then went on to do a nationwide search for me. She was very helpful and I wish I could have dealt with her. If the deal doesn't work out, I won't hesitate to hit her up.

Not intending to put your ride down, I just think it makes the Camaro stand out.

It's cool dude, I knew what I was doing when I bought the car, I bought exactly what I wanted that night, so I was actually looking for the non RS, we all have our opinions on the looks of the car, most like the halos and I respect that, if I ended up with an RS I would have ended up trading someone in here straight up for the regular halogens, they remind me so much of my 68 that I had, to me it give the car a little bit of a classic look. I also happen to like the rims/tires set up on my car way better than what the RS offers, the dark blue hides the ditch roof moldiing color, so that isn't an issue. In other words if I bought the RS package I would have only ended up with some silly RS badges(by the way I hate badges on a car....way too tacky for my taste) and for a cost of around an extra $1600.......Na I like my money. Instead I actually didn't spend anything extra on the car and they STILL threw in the heritage grill in on the deal.
I am still trying to think if there is anything I would add to my car but I like it just the way it is, trying to figure out a way to remove the bowtie off the back as well (yep I really do hate badges on a car)
I just like driving this thing around and showing off the awesome blue paint job.
All I am trying to really say here is I bought the exact car I wanted, with everything I would ever need in it, if it is not an RS or whatever- IT IS STILL A CAMARO! that is what I wanted and am damn proud to be the owner of it. I feel love towards all Camaros and the folks who drive them all the way down to the bare bones LS models.
