Congrats! Beautiful weather you have down there. I wish I had weather like that all the time.
Do you plan on doing anything else to the car. Its such a different color that I am having a hard time deciding even on what type of accent color would work well. Red, blue, silver maybe white? |

Plenty more mods to come. I plan on custom painting my bowties red and black/CFM. Also, I plan for lots of red and CFM accents under the hood. I want to do some custom stitching on the headrests. I don't really see blue silver or white looking good on the outside of the car, but thats just me. I'm sticking with CFM, red, and the grey color on the outside.

Reposting my previous post but got the pics to upload better! Check it out!
About time I had an update! Got my windows tinted all around 20% this past week and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! Tint is perfect, blends with the car beautifully. I can't imagine it without tit anymore! Here's a few cell phone pics. I'll get some HD pics in a week or two when I can borrow my dad's Nikon again. Dropping off at the tint shop: After: Back home after a wash: And this morning right before I headed back to school: Also, a very generous member of our local camaro club was extremely kind in donating his headlight harness that allows me to run my halos and DRLs at the same time. It looks really good and all I had to do was plug it in! Thanks Mark!!! Oh and I plastidipped my front bowtie, an I like it a lot. I will be doing the same to my back bowtie soon. And since this post is too long to begin with, here's a fellow Chevy that accompanied me about 70 miles on I20. One bad ass ZR1!!!!!

Plastidipped my bowties Friday but after checking out the bowties, check out my rims below!!!
Just Plastidipped my rims last night. I will be redoing them as I made mistakes, but I'm fine with it for a few weeks and REALLY like the look. My problem was I put it on too lightly (needed more coats) and I put it on unevenly (needed more plastidip on the insides of the spokes). Did 3 coats each rim, allowing a few minutes in between. I will be doing 6 coats next time. Anyways, here's my progress pics followed by a ton of pics this morning! Decided to take the rims completely off About to wash them all by hand First layers going on. I used index cards to keep it off the tires, worked perfect and I was able to get the lip of the rim as well Drying (still glossy) vs original! The deep spot was a big ding I got in the rim the day before. It looked horrible and luckily the plastidip hides is pretty well. First shot lowered back down! And now for all my beauty shots, be prepared for photo madness!!! Took a TON of photos to show you in different lights such as direct sunlight, shade, dark, etc. Epic grass photos!!!

I so very much dislike you for beating me to this!!!!!!!!! I did not have time to do it while I completed lowering my car... Damn 7 hours of installation. I think I will have to do this on Thursday now...
It looks like a whole other car now... I mean it looks great now. |

My advice would be to do more than 3 coats, make sure it's even, and make sure you get plenty on the inside faces of the spokes. That's where I didn't put enough. If you have time, do one wheel alone, see what you think about it. If it's not perfect, change the way you put the plastidip on (more/less on here/there) and that way you'll do the rest of them better! Oh and actually v6 did his rims before me, just didn't post pics. So while I'm first to post pics, I'm second to do it, and you'll be third! Quote:
Even then, a ZL1 front end with the Heritage grille looks sweet! So if I were to do it on my 45th, I'd do a Heritage grille.

[/QUOTE]I'm trying to get a custom grille from a member on here. If it were ZL1 vs. Heritage grille, I personally would go with the Heritage grille. The ZL1 grille would look weird without a ZL1 front end in my opinion.
