You could get a Rally Sport Camaro in the 60s all the way up to 92.

Actually there was a 4th gen RS as well. Every gen had an RS option at least a few years.

Wasn't it just an appearance package? I thought you could only get the Camaro, Z28, or SS. In the 80s, it was an actual model.

I was looking at a 92 the other day that was an RS, V8 305. But yeah it was an appearance package for the most part, I think...

Yes there was a rally sport model but I don't believe the current Gen 5's are considered rally sports . It is just an RS package ....

Rally Sport,I believe the RS package has always been for appearance. In 67 you could order the camaro as a both a sport coupe or SS with the RS appearance package( hidden headlights and other cosmetic enhancements). In 70 the split bumper and round parking lights were included in the package. I had a 70 Z28 which did not have the RS package

The Rally Sport was always an appearance package. Mostly exterior trim. 1stgens had hidden headlights, bumperguards, and all red taillights, some special trim at the bottom of the doors too. It could be ordered on base V8 models, Z28's or SS'.
2nd gens had the split bumpers, but later on in the 70s they brought it back as a decal package briefly. It came back in 91-92(all non Z28s were deemed "RS"), and then again in the mid 90s with ground effects.
