Good Daily Driver?
So I am really thinking about getting a ZL1 and I live about 5 miles from my work but don't want to get another car for a daily driver. My philosophy is if I buy a car I want to drive it, why have multiple cars . My wife has a Jeep and I have a convertible right now and everything is fine. I was wondering if a ZL1 could be a daily driver or if it has too much power to be a decent DD.
Thanks for any replies! |

Catch me if you can

You can never have enough power!
No really, this car is not only built for the track but for the street. The touring mode is perfect for just normal driving around. Plus if you want you can get to point A and B really fast!

You'll be fine. Just respect the car and it will respect you. |

Hell no, it's gonna be my daily driver for sure, won't even think twice about it. Now, if it would just get built...

It is my DD. I have almost 1000 miles on it already. In tour mode, it is just as good a DD as a 2SS.

I only have 280 miles, but definately agree 100%. Mine is my DD also. Very tame until you want it to be different. Power is awesome, but also can be driven midly. I have pushed the break in parameters, and am still averaging 17 MPG, which is a lot better than I expected. w00t!

The ZL1 was purchased to be my daily driver. I do not plan to drive it in nasty weather, but will when necessary. After being in So Cal for only 4 days the ZL1 was exposed to a rare So Cal downpour and handled it beautifully. My fear was incompetent surrounding drivers, but we avoided them and let our baby do what it was designed to do, making sure that there were no operator errors.

This too was my concern of the ZL1 being a DD. I can't decide if I want to upgrade to a SS soon, wait on a 1LE, or continue saving for a ZL1.
