First Car Ad Thread
Been a while since I actually started a thread, so I figure its about time. I found a thread like this on another forum a while ago and thought it would be interesting here on a forum with more traffic. I searched, and it doesn't seem to have come up here before.
Here's how it works. Tell us what your first car was. Then find and post a commercial for your first car (or the closest thing to it) from back when it was new. I'll start. My first car was my 2002 Alero. The commercial I found was from 1999 when it first launched. Those not as young as me will probably be able to come up with more interesting videos.

I'll shoot. 1996 Monte Carlo Z34 with the dreaded LQ1 V6 from hell. Died from a combination of a rotted core support being ripped out on a tow and the engine bleeding 5 quarts of oil every 800 miles.
Fun while it lasted, though.. comfiest car I've driven to date. |

 1977 Chevy Shortbox Van  Ok, now before anyone starts to judge here is the story. I bought this off the local police auction for $1300 in 89 when I was 16 in High School. It had a 350 blueprinted engine, high performance camshaft, Edelbrock 4 brl and I added a snorkel blower to make it not so street legal.  I raced many a car on the weekends and I only lost to a few Corvette's. The Irocs I went up against didn't have a chance. My dad always called it seabiscuit since it was the ultimate sleeper. I had no idea what that meant until that movie came out a few years ago.  The wall panels were all hollow since it was a drug runners van that the Sheriff's caught. good memories.
