I have an inferno orange metallic RS with silver rally style stripes. I went with vinyl in case I didn't like it, but I love it! As far as quality, I searched all over and went with a local company so I could see in person the quality of work of the install and materials. So be careful on ordering online without checking a lot of review. You may also be interested in some embroidery for your headrests. Check out my garage at the headrest pic. A place called embroider me did mine and I was very pleased.

Most are vinyl but as previously noted you can get them painted. Personally I am partial to painted ones. That is what I plan to do...........someday. Our local dealership only orders un striped ones & paints stripes on for folks who want them. They do a really good job.

I love that no one flamed him for asking a question that he really did not know the answer to. No, noob bashing, no nazi like reactions instructing him to use the search function yada yada yada. Awesome, freaking awesome guys.

And,... like stated above 80% are vinyl graphics, and some are painted. It's up to you and how you change your mood. With Vinyl you always have the option to go back to basics. Paint not as cheap to get rid of. Think of Paint as a Real Tattoo and Vinyl as a Fake Rub on Tattoo. Either way as long as your happy with it.

To me, it comes down to a matter of cost.

Painted stripes look better, hands down. They also cost more.

If you can afford to get the stripes painted, do it.
