my 3rd gen has done pretty well in the snow the couple times i drove it in the snow. i bought it from a guy that lived in chicago and used it as a DD. he said he never had a problem. granted it had a 50lbs sub box in the back. still when i sold that and moved it around my driveway with bald tires in about 2-3ins of snow i had no problems.

however when i get my 5th gen it will be in the garage when it snows. i have a truck for the winter.

I'll be interested to see how well the 5th gen will do in snow. My 4th gen wasn't the greatest, even with snow tires and a couple sandbags in the back. But the 5th gen IS about 500ish lbs heavier, plus traction control and all. Shouldn't be too bad.

If its the same engine as in my regal GS go for it mine has 210k (or so) miles on it & its a 98.

Also what we do on our summer cars, is just leave liablity on them, but take everything else off of them, but since your car is being paid for & will most likely have a finance company looking after the car, you cant really do that.

Go for it dude, GTP or the Regal GS are great cars.

im in the same boat...our winters in new york arent as bad as michigan but we still get lots of snow during the winter...sanitation is pretty good about plowing and salting...but if its not the snow its the salt that i dont want touching my car...because of this im keeping my 300zx to drive as my the winter and back and forth to work...i might sell the Z and use half the money to put rims and an exhaust on the camaro tho...and the other half to get a more appropiate winter car...the Z sucks in the snow =/
