I've seen alot ofpeople plastidipping practicaly everything on their cars(wheels, stripes etc...) so is it just a cost efficent replacement for decals or would you recommend plastidip over decals

People do wheels, and different trim bezels for taillights, etc. I've never heard of anyone doing stripes, but that's not saying it can't be done. |

In the DIY section some1 said "all the black" was plastidip and he had stripes... but i dont mean todo stripes mainly for the rear and front fascia blackouts they have the decal's on ridergraphix.com asking if it would be better to buy those or is plastidip stuff is better alternative
Edit: decals like stickers I assume |

When i had my 1LT i plasti dipped the rims, front and back bow tie emblems and the tail light bezels. Looked great and was very durable. Never did stripes. I suppose you can but if i was doing stripes i would just get the stripes. You can try it and if you don't like it just peel it off.

Plastidip is faster, easier and cheaper to do. However, from what I've heard it doesn't hold up as well. But if you mess it up, you just peel it off and spray again. If you mess up a decal, it will be a bigger pain to fix.
I did all the chrome and the bowties on my car with Plastidip. It's about $6 a can at Home Depot. I used less then half a can to do everything. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...67787&page=196 |

Many people have done the front bumper black outs (top grill by the lights) but you will need to remove the front bumper.

I have done both my front and rear blackouts in vinyl, and i have plastidipped many interior parts, and my rims. If you want a flat black look for the black out pieces, then it would be cheaper and an easier install to just take off the front and back clips and plastidip the area you want.
