Guess i wasn't concentrating when I got out of my car cause I always put the brake on, I saw it start to roll back and couldn't stop it in time from bumping the garage door. Now there's 2 scratches where it hit the garage. it's not very noticeable but it's my first scratch so not too happy with myself.
Will touchup paint fix it good enough or will I have to pay someone to fix it? |

Try some scratch remover first. You can't really see how deep the scratches are though.

It's in such an awkward area, that even if they're deep, some touch up paint would hide them nicely.

The first thing I thought of when I read you're linked thread is below \/\/ LOL Yep. I have a friend who forgot the brake. Car rolled out of the driveway, across the street and into a ditch. |

I think I have one more embarrassing. I invited my friend to a local Camaro meet one evening, and unfortunately he forgot to set the brake on his 944 Porsche and rolled into the front bumper of my friend's SS. Thankfully, those era Porsches had rubber style bumpers and so my friend's SS didn't have a single mark on it.
Needless to say, that was the last time I invited my friend to a meet lol.

RE: the BMW video.....
I chased a truck down a sloped driveway one time, parking brake was out of adjustment. I left the driver's door open, I just whipped up there to leave something on the porch. I chased the truck down, the open door and me took out a bush going backwards. Finally got it stopped, got all scratched up by the bush. you gotta do what you gotta do.

Lesson I learned the hard way:
Always park your stickshift car in gear. Set garage door sensors to bumper height to prevent door closing on car. (it will not close until you pass the sensors) When closing garage door with opener, run around to rear of car to make sure door doesn't hit it anyway. If jacking the car up in the garage, make sure the bumper is at least 6" away from the door.

Use 3M scratch remover. Several times. Medium pressure. I have even mixed a small amount of touch up paint with it if the scratch is deep. Then, a good coat or two of wax.

That is awesome how long it takes him to notice. He didn't quit pumping until the biker says something like "Are you missing something" Or at least I hope that's what he said.
