You just pull the inner fender back and the bulbs are right there

Just to let all you know I installed the 35W HIDs in the projector FOG LIGHTS on my ZL1 no problem. The housing is made of metal and the lens is glass as I expected to be able to handle the heat from the stock 55W Halogen bulb. After leaving the fog lights on for about 5 mins the housing was barely even warm so... Anyone with a ZL1 that hates the halogens they can put in the fogs can easily do a swap to 35W HIDs without fear of melting anything. I used this kit from ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/230496795140...84.m1497.l2649

He sells high quality AC ballasts and look great. No flickering or problems even in vehicles I've had the kit in for years.

Ordered these for the DRLs:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HID-equivale...ht_8349wt_1165

Should look really slick once they all are in. Now I want to replace the headlights with 6000K HIDs instead of the stock 4300K though. Looks so much better IMO.

The first set of LED DRLs I ordered were poor quality and had segments burned out. So I ordered a new set. As soon as I get those in I'll definitely post some photos.

Totally easy to get at the Foglights and the DRLs. Just turn the wheels and inside the fender there is 3 torx bit screws holding the liner on. Just take those out and you temporarily pull the liner aside and hold in place while you reach in and swap the bulbs (I used a roll of masking tape wedged in between the liner and the fender while I reached in there, but any object will work [or have a friend hold it while you change it]). If you need more room theres 2 torx screws on the bottom of the liner that hold a mini plastic airfoil in on you can remove as well. But I was able to easily do it with only the 3 in the wheel well removed.

I got both the DRLs and HIDs off ebay. The links are above. Just look for P13W or PSX26W led on ebay or elsewhere. They are kinda pricey for the bright 7.5W ones, especially for LEDS, but I was willing to spend it for a ZL1. The HIDs are cheap. Whole kit is $30 with the link above. Good AC Ballasts. My buddy said 6K HIDs matched the headlights and DRLs well.

Here's some better pics of the layout with the 6K HID fogs, 6K HID Headlights, and 7.5W 6K LED DRLs.

That's the best looking color matched set I've seen yet. It drives me insane that mine don't match. I'm going to have to look into this.
