I own a hertz rental Camaro and have had zero problems in the 2 years and 7 months I have owned her with the exception of a pillar cover that kept popping off that was replaced under warrenty. bought her with 3902 on it. I Love my car !

If the dealer concealed that from you, I would complain. I see previous rental cars as a different thing than pre-owned. Alot of renter beat on their rentals... admittedly myself included. I would never by a rental car. I am glad to hear your car isn't having any problems though!

Best regards,

After driving a rental 2013 vert for two days now, I'd have to say NO WAY IN HELL. That car has less than 10k miles on it and looks like it has 100k on it. Scratches everywhere, and frankly, it's had the crap ran out of it. I'm guilty of doing it too. I would say never, ever under any circumstances buy a rental.

I fully agree. Especially if the previous owner was intentionally withheld by the dealer on the first carfax you got.

11713 of the California Vehicle Code makes it illegal for a car dealer to fail to disclose a used car was a prior rental.

(t) Advertise a vehicle for sale that was used by the selling licensee in its business as a demonstrator, executive vehicle, service vehicle, rental, loaner, or lease vehicle, unless the advertisement clearly and conspicuously discloses the previous use made by that licensee of the vehicle. An advertisement shall not describe any of those vehicles as "new."

I would not buy a rental. I know how I drive them and I'm pretty sure most people run the piss out of rentals. My buddy is a manager for Avis car rental and tells me that they do maintain them pretty good. I still would have a hard time buying one. Another thing I would not buy is a Demo from a dealer. Before got my own car lot I used to be a sales manager for a Chevy dealer and they gave me a demo to drive and me and my salesman used to beat the hell out of them. LOL
