ticking noise
A guy i work with has a 2011 1lt. He has a ticking noise that gets worse as the car warms up. He is gonna bring it for me to hear and see whats goin on with it. I was just wondering if there was anyone on here that has had any problems with their llt making a ticking noise? Or any ideas what it might be? I will try and get video of it?

Thought it was normal :ionno:
Mine gets worse when I press the clutch in, it almost sounds like a hiss

Only ticking sound I know of that many that are new to the V6's don't know of is the injectors.

He says this is a new sound that just started today. Its an automatic. The only thing he has done to it is a cai.

that ticking is normal. Its from the injectors as mentioned before.. he just realized. the same happened to me and was scared.. but its normal..

he never noticed the ticking sound, thats why its new.
Search the forums for how many people made this exact thread. The same answer every time: its normal.

The noise was not his injectors. After hearing it in person i told him to get it to a dealer and have it checked out. The dealer told him it was some bearings and would be covered under warranty.

My V-8 gave a pretty loud tick sound while warming up a few days ago, but I didn't think anything of it.
