Mrt 2.0 mod/new SS diffuser on 2LT
My fellow Camaro heads,
So I recently got rear ended by Mini Cooper ... Thankfully it was only cosmetic damage. Not so good for Mini (it needed new bumper, grill, radiator, hose etc). My 2lt RS will need new diffuser, bumper adjustment and paint job. I told body shop to order diffuser for SS (same price and looks better than regular one imo). I read some stuff online and found out that both have same fitting and only difference is that exhaust holes and fins in ss are larger. Can someone confirm this?? I'm also planning on getting Mrt 2 and replace exhaust tips with tips that resemble stock ones but are larger (3.75 in preferably). Any advice?? Thanks P.s. That wet spot on the ground was not from my car. |

You are correct, the fins are longer and the holes bigger on the SS diffuser.
Just my opinion, but I'd go with at least 4" tips with the SS diffuser. I have 4" magnaflow double walled tips with my V6 diffuser and feel it looks perfect. I had a V8 diffuser at one time I was about to install and thats when I realized the holes were bigger and I thought it made my tips look small again lol....so I got rid of the V8 diffuser. (thinking about going with duals sometime now anyways)
