My friend had a first gen WRX. He was crazy. It may not have been as fast as I remember but the feeling of "I'm going to die." made it seem pretty quick to me.

Good luck with your new ride.

Thank you all except the So Cal hater that is creepin on a New England forum, must be too much of that cheap Tiajuana tequilla! Ya I had it garaged for the winter (18K in 3 years) but the winter beater was getting pretty beat and to spend $450.00 a month for something to sit in the garage most of the year wasn't working. So I condensed all down to a AWD vehicle for the wonderful New England commute and kept a little pep with a 265hp turbo'd 4 cyl. No riceing it out maybe a cat back exhaust to make it sound a little different and a window tint so people can't see the tools in the hatchback. But that tracked up WRX did llok like it could bust up a snowy morning commute!!!

good luck with what ever you decide, I too came close to switching cars while I was in Miami, but then my wife talked me back to the ZL1, and I'm glad I did =

here are some pics when I was about to close the deal

So in the end I liked how the ZL1 has more presence than the GTR in person,
Also the Camaro can be cheaper to maintain, cheaper to mod, easy to put adults in the back compared with GTR
.
The main thing I liked about the GTR was putting the power down on AWD, with mild sporty looks
