Sounds like you need a tune with the cats installed. That should be all it takes to clear your cel. Be careful of your emmisions out in Cali with those HF cats.

I'll tune it and see if that clears the CEL. I kept my old cats so when it comes time to do a smog check I'll switch them out so it can pass the emissions test.

I installed mine about two weeks ago and no CEL's. That's about 700 miles ago.

These absolutely should not throw a code. I would check the bolts one everything over again underneath

I thought they claim that the high flow cats are OVER size for the car, hence passing smog should be no problem?

The code means catalyst system efficiency below threshold. When this code pops on a car with high flow cats it is pretty harmless. The rear o2s are there to make sure the cats are in place. High flow cats might flow ten times better then the factory units but they don't burn off the unburnt gas as well as the factory units.....especially when they are cold. I would be willing to bet that everyone who had their cel pop up had it happen on a cold start up. Is it annoying...yeah but you can delete them with any cheap obd2 scanner you can find on ebay for $20. The Solo units have faired better then others but they are still high flow cats. Any custom tune should be able to turn the rear o2 sensors off that way you'll never run into that code again.
