decepticon-vert,

Glad to see you're already working with a dealer! I want to create a case file for you and track the status of the repair. Could you private message me your VIN number, the issue you were experiencing, and the dealer's name and location? I look forward to hearing from you!

William, no need to set up an appointment I can do that. The dealer that replace my weatherstripping just a couple of days ago said that it's an inherrent design flaw and suggested if I could find out what another dealer did that worked they could try it out too. My concern is that the new weatherstrip will have the same issue and I have no more bumper to bumper warranty coverage.

However, if you can look into the blower motor noise issue for me that would be great. It happens only on low speed and is intermittent. Meaning, both times I brought my car into the dealership to look at it they could not reproduce the sound. I had this on my'11 coupe and the dealer ordered the part to replace the blower motor but I ended up trading it in for my vert. Now this one has it but unless they hear it there's nothing they can do. I'm surprised this isn't a bigger issue as I seem to seee in the forum quite regularly that this is happening alot. Btw, it's not just on Camaros as my 2006 G6 GT also developed this problem after warranty and it's more frequent and annoying.

Thanks.

Oh, and this is the same dealer that did my top replacement for the hole issue and fraying when the top rubs against the frame going up and down - took them 3 days but they did it right.

I definitely understand. I know how sporadic issues can be frustrating. I definitely would like to research this for you, but would need your VIN number. These matters are examined on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to private message me!

Dealer used similar set up as pic posted and order a new seal. They are surprised that GM has not created a TBS on this. Not sure how bad it is on coupes but on verts looks like it will cut enough to create a leak. So keep an eye on your trunk seals. you can see where seal tore and dealer just attached cable to bundle. on second pic I am going to insert something in there that will push cable away from seal and keep it from rubbing. Because I think it will rub again.

FIXED MINE BY CUTTING ABOUT 2IN. UP IN THE TRUNK LINER WERE CABLE GOES WITH WIRE CUTTERS AND MADE A HOLE THERE FOR CABLE TO COME THROUGH - WORKS GOOD AND LOOKS GOOD. THIS WAS DONE IN TRUNK LID

I have the same issue, dealer replaced my weather strip today. I also have the blower issue, and the car has some chirp sound when going over bumps. I think the weather strip will wear in that spot again.

Not only has my wire harness worn through the trunk seal, but the wires in the harness have broken...no onstar, no compass, electric trunk release only works sometimes...dealer says not covered under CPO warranty. Any advice?

My 2014 has the clip and has the problem. Dealer had to order seal. They said they intend to reposition clip and install felt on the wiring harness to prevent rub. I'll post an update when the part arrives.

Add me to the list. My bumper to bumper is up and my harness looks different to me. 2013 SS. What's the latest on a good fix?
