Wanted to thank JoeBot for the cruise yesterday out to the car show. Fun day, met some new people and I think well have a new member who lives by Joe and I. Great guy with a beautiful SC Camaro, who happened to win a nice trophy for best Dyno pull of the day.

But to me, they just lack style, stance, and class. The Camaro is all around amazing car that just needs to lose a few pounds, and a few mods makes it quicker than a 5.0. I wouldn't trade mine for any mustang, but man I'm still a fan of the Shelby's.
Ron - My comment had no disrespect for the Mustang. I have a buddy that has a 2004 Mach 1 with the shaker hood and I would love to have it myself (although he never takes it out of the garage when my SS is around). My comment is to their statement that the Camaro is the least fun to drive of the muscle cars. Did they forget about the Challenger? I do take issue with your statement that the Mustang is $ for $ a better HP value. Discounting mods, you spend more money for a stock Mustang necessary to beat the stock SS (on both drag and cornering). The independent axel provides better cornering performance than the solid axel. Many tests have pointed this out. (However I will admit the solid axel does a much better job keeping the wheel hop under control.) I have great respect for the Mustang, just not for Consumer Reports.

LoL Steve I think we have the same opinions on the car, I hope I didn't come off like the defender of the mustang world. I'm definitely all about the Chevy Camaro, I was just kinda saying their comparison for the average buyer gives the Mustang the edge (in their comparisons), but your correct they do seem to favor the Mustang in many of the reviews. I feel it's just because there a lil quicker, and lighter for drag racing plus its a cheaper vehicle ie bang for the buck.

Also, no body disrespects the Mustang more than Joebot.. Lol he always reminds me how they suck... But, I actually tricked him into sitting in one this weekend at the car show. He sat in it like a little kid at the dinner table having to eat vegetables, It was a look of disgust

The wheel hop statement you make is so un-true. I have owned many mustangs and every single one of them with the exeception of the 2 Cobras I had (cause of Independent rear) all wheel hop extremely bad.
I notice ZERO wheel hop in either Camaro I have had. The solid rear axel is definitely worse on the wheel hop my man...Until you replace all the control arms in the stang, then it's much much better..

Hey Ron what's up?
Morrisville was a fun time with the exception of the DYNO.. sucks I had to bail early for work.
It was really good meeting you guys though.

My question man ..... What would you recommend for a Cam for me? I don't plan on supercharging my car and I was really leaning to just getting one through Jannetty like the smooth Idle Cam. I also hear great things about the LG cam and the Texas Speed cams....
Or should I head over to your boys at New Era and see what they recommend?
Obviously making good power is a requirement and so is awesome sound but honestly I can do without a bouncy idle and bad low rpm/speed drivability...
So whach ya got for me??
