They're big, heavy ass cars. They start putting a big smile on your face about 600whp. But that's kind of just enough to wet your appetite for racing quicker cars and bikes. Then 7-800 becomes needed to really separate the men from the boys.

Hate to say but 7-800 prob will never see. At that point would really be shelling out the $$$

Part of the reason I finally decided on the 650RWHP target/limit is all the great feedback and experience on these forums from folks that have been here before. ~650 is reported as roughly where you begin to top-out on stock drivetrain, depending of course on how you drive. I went the AGP TT path with a Stage 2C cam+springs. The EBC can take me to a fairly broad range. For DD and occasional road course laps (e.g. no heavy slicks and 1/4 mile hammering) mid 600's is about the last stopping point before you are investing yet another big pile of money.

Why not? Kill Modes car made 680rwhp on a stock L99 auto with AGP kit and 3" exhaust. On a manual that would be 700-720rwhp. That is 91 octane in AZ heat. Add a meth kit and 750rwhp is completely reasonable. That is $8k in parts, maybe another $1000 to have it installed if you have to pay for that. When you don't want 750rwhp turn it down to 5-6psi and enjoy 550rwhp and tons of low end torque.

I drove the car off the lot a couple years ago and thought...this is awesome.
A week later i was bored so i installed headers and SW exhaust....this caused codes to kick out so i took it down to FT worth to get tuned. That was fun for a week. Went back for a cam and was at 450whp....that was fun for a couple weeks. Added a D1sc and was up to 637whp....that was fun for a few months. Added Alky meth, smaller pulley (11psi) and made 715whp. That was real fun, 6 gallons of meth in 6 weeks till my #5 piston let go. Now have an HKE built LSX 427 with the D1sc at 14 psi(blower is maxed out) and made 758 whp on a Mustang dyno. I've been here for 9 months and now bored again. Next up, twin turbo at 20-24 psi for an initial goal of 1000whp on 96 octane and meth, with room to go to 1200whp if i get bored at this level I dont 1/4 mile the car and have no intention to. Maybe a track day at the road course a few times a year, this is primarily what i set the car up for, yeah, i know 758 whp less yet 1100 whp is not needed for a road course. But it should be a blast. Not a daily driver, but it could be. I dont think it ever ends

My only holding point is thinking $12,000 to go from 380 hp to little over 600 hp. Arrrr decisions decisions...I get right there ready to pull the trigger, but then think I could out in new double din radio, carbon fiber some stuff and go that route.
What worries me if waiting on Super charging is putting more miles on the vehicle. I will never sell it but have been told not good to add on with higher mileage. What does higher mileage mean?? Is 18,000 to much or 30,000 to much to start thinking about conversion and SC Is that true? |

![]() I am at 472 RWHP and loving it. It really is more than enough. Oh I will be upping it though LOL. Put a supercharger headers & exhaust on it. Then go from there. You will not regret it!!!

Honestly I know older ls1 with 80-110k miles on the with blowers going strong. I'm not worried about mileage.. Within 3k miles I already had a cam, full exhaust, and tune. After 3 summers and 22k hard a$$ miles, my car still runs as well as it did before. But on a side note if your trying to win car shows, invest the money in that. A supercharger and 600 hp doesn't win shows. Stereos, carbon, and Lambo doors does. So your talking two different types of cars. Show car or go car.

). It's more than my stock-width rubber can handle, as well as my stock clutch, so plan on upgrading that too, eventually, if you get blown. I say go for it and never look back, as long as you're prepared to buy tires more often.

700 RWHP is my goal. Street driving and shows. My sig shows current as 460 RWHP, but it's closer to 470. I haven't re-dynoed it yet. It's plenty fun as-is, but I want to add a blower and some other goodies to get to my goal. In time.

It is never enough. Better to have it and not need it...
I added 300 RWHP for less than 9K, just makes sense.
