I hate potholes!

Hey all,
Brand new Convertible SS + darkness + winter ravaged NJ roads = sidewall blowout (and sad owner...)

I was wondering if anyone could point me to the best solution for acquiring a replacement tire. I did a bit of a search and have found the Pirelli P-Zero I need for about $230.00 but I thought I would look for advice first.

My car has around 500 miles on it and I have been keeping it in the garage and not driving it but yesterday the sun was shinning and the temps were in the low 60's and I couldn't resist. Anyway, As I was driving home, after the sun had set, I of course found one of those potholes I had been being so careful to avoid. Being the first car I have owned with performance low profile tires I had no idea how delicate they appear to be. I am guessing that everyone would recommend road hazard warranty. I guess I got lucky in this situation as the rim seems to have little to no damage with just the smallest of blemishes....

In any event just wanted to check and get thoughts from the forum and perhaps some advice on the best way to handle this in Central NJ....(Plainfields)

Thanks to all!

Sorry to hear! May want to get your wheel checked too for cracks, safety first! Another reason I won't put mine back on the road until late March. And even then, have to be careful. Price seems what I'd expect, but I haven't compared around lately.

And welcome to C5!

I got some snow tires. They usually have a taller profile too.

Looks like tirerack has the fronts for 198 and the rears for 236 if you have the RS package - don't know which your looking for

Look in the tire section for a take off and buy it there. I have a set in my garage just in case.
