What X or H pipe to use on vert

Requesting assistance for options from other vert owners that have installed one on their cars. Looking for direct bolt- I realize their will be cutting, but don't want to modify braces. Also, how is the noise level?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Also interested in this question. Considering ARH LTs + HF Cats into NPP but I admit I'm concerned it will be too loud for a convertible. ARH has three LT options: a short set (not "shorties") that preserves catback; to-the-axle that includes their X pipe and carries 3" all the way to NPP; then a complete exhaust including their own mufflers. I've seen at least one member thread where he had an awful raspy sound with headers through OE H pipe into open NPP and cured it with a Magnaflow X pipe. So, it does have an important impact on the sound level and quality.

The LS3 mid-pipe is a cheap upgrade for our A6 verts, lots of them laying around from those doing catbacks on the LS3s.

This eliminates the butterfly valves and more restricted mid-mufflers on our A6s. However no matter which direction you go, you may want to have the AFM tuned out to eliminate potential drone.

I have Stainless Works headers and hi-flow cats connected to an LS3 mid-pipe I picked up real cheap, followed by the Borla Sport axle back, and have AFM tuned out.
Love the sound and wife doesn't mind it either!
Nice deep sound at idle and partial throttle and fairly aggressive sounds a WOT!

A note on bracing...

As you are probably aware, the convertible has additional bracing added underneath the car to make up for the loss of structural rigidity created when the top is removed. My tuner likes ARH, so we are working with them on my build. I have to use the short connection LTs because the to-the-axle kit interferes with the OE bracing. ARH sells a "chromoly" replacement brace allowing this installation but they want $475 for it. Add that to the $500 premium for to-the-axle and you're looking at $975 for the privilege of using their 3" X pipe. Plus, at least one very high profile tuner on this forum has told me privately that it will sound better with the factory midpipe and have less drone.
