JDP Halo Kit - Not Turning On!!

Ok Fellow Camaro5ers,

I have the JDP Halo Kit on my Camaro with some added on RGB Grille & Undercarriage lighting attached. For the wiring into the engine bay fuse box, I have one wire with 5amp + 7.5amp and for the other wire I have a 20amp + 7.5amp.
Lights were working fine.....

My car was in the SA Autorama this past weekend, an indoor car show. One of the regulations was that we had to disconnect our batteries. The car was at the Show from Friday, March 14th, until Sunday, March 16th.

When the battery was re-connected, the Halos and Lighting would not come on! I have tried replacing all of the fuses and went through the procedure to reset the RF controller, but still unable to get the lights to come on.

Have any of you run into this situation and is there anything else I need to check?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

You covered the basics. Have you contacted JDP?

I've sent a PM to Jeremy. He is a good guy and usually responds.

Mine have become very unreliable to the point where I don't even use them. Night Owl upgrade soon to come.

I've had a remote stop responding all together which they replaced and also had the control unit sent back and fixed due to mismatching colors.

Have you reprogrammed the remote? Put the button on the side kick plate inside the drivers compartment to the middle position, hold the up and down buttons on the remote down at the same time for 10 secs and while holding them and after about 10 sec's flip the button inside the car on the kick plate to the on position. The light halos should flicker and you an release the buttons on the remote. Should work...... if that doesn't do it, I don't know...

Thanks! I'll give that a try.

Yea well we're standing by. It only takes a few seconds to do and I'm curious. Disconnecting the battery really shouldn't cause all these issues and replacing fuses and all that from just a battery disconnect seems like overkill but I do understand when your stuff isn't working properly.

Didn't work...Bummer! I'm trying to remember if there was a ground wire somewhere. Appreciate the help....I'll keep trying for a fix.

Only ground I recall is the one on the front bumper frame rail crossmember at the horn. Not sure or don't recall one inside and you should be plugged in to pwr within the fuse box. It's got to be something simple since all you did was a battery disconnect.

Jeremy (JDP) responded to my PM and basically asked me to test the fuse box in the engine bay to make sure there was nothing wrong. I haven't had a chance to do that yet, but a strange thing occurred this morning when I got to work. I got out of the car and noticed that the Halos were on (blue color), but not the grille and undercarriage lights that are hooked into the Halos. I opened up the hood and noticed that the toggle switch was in the "OFF" position, but the LED indicator was lit up (red). When I toggled the switch to the "ON" position, the Halos would turn off. I tried going through the reset procedure for the RF Controller, but still no go. This is strange! There's something definite that I need to check/trace. Hopefully, I'll get my lights working again.

I'd eliminate the extra shiggady you tapped into the JDP lights, make sure they work as they're suppose to do and then go from there of hooking up the rest.
