Number 1 on my list would have to be:
70 Chevelle SS 454 LS-6 Number 2 1969 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 If we include pony cars then I would have to add 69 BOSS 429 and 69 ZL-1 Camaro |

I have to second the 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1...little known fact about the White 1970 GSX cars- Apollo White was the same code as Glacier White.
But to up the ante...the 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 Buick Showcar gets my vote. 100% street legal, licensed car, this is the one of none produced show car, in Pearl White with one-off show circuit parts and interior. http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/...feature17.html

I am going to have to go with a 1966 Corvair Corsa Coupe.
The factory optional 180 HP turbocharged engine beat all other Chevrolet engines that year in HP per Cu In, and in torque per Cu In. Chevrolet managed all this with only 164 Cu In and a car that weighed 2475 pounds. A 427 would have to have made 469 HP and 690 ft-Lbs of torque to match it!!! Just sayin. PS. It came with a cylinder head temperature guage, manifold pressure guage, and fully independent rear suspension, STANDARD. |
