![]() How bout giving us a price with goodguy pricing on the motor and how much you boys would charge to drop it in and make it all work. Might be a great way to keep the service guys busy. The only nagging thing would be.... is the M6 Tremec 6060 they spec'd for Camaro up to the task? If the swap was 12.5-13k for the engine and 5k complete install with harness I'd be all over it, and I'm sure some other guys would be too. Hey, it would keep the guys in Wixom turning wrenches as well. I'd take the LS3 home and put it in my my off road tuck |

Agreed why have a lifecycle?, it would be wise for GM to keep building them, keep the guys in Wixom employed, and give us the option to have a car on par with the GT500. That checkoff box on the option sheet might get ticked more than they ever realized. I'd be first in line

The time honored tradition of how fast you want to go is directly proportional of how much you want to spend.....

My thought is.........why not? We can always dream can't we? To say its impossible is what hinders GM from spreading its wings and getting repeat buyers, keep em coming back for more. The Shelby GT 500 is proof of that, there were a lot of guys who traded in their GT's to get one, and you can't tell me they are not a moneymaker for them. My SS would be gone in a heartbeat in exchange for a factory Super Camaro if one came out. |

![]() All I'm saying is GM feels that it is not a product that can sustain a market... It's even going away in the Z06. It was an extremely expensive motor to build and hence, except for a few of us, not really a big seller. I don't really like it, But it is what is.Quote:
![]() I have to agree. Get the car on the streets in full force then see if the big boy's got the room to go play...

Because the costs for extra testing and certification make low volume engines unattractive. Its more involved than simply installing ~$20,000 LS7s on the line in Oshawa. The days of having a choice of 2 big blocks, 3 small blocks, and a 6 cylinder are long gone.

I don't think there will ever be an LS7, LSA or LS9 in any factory sold 5th Gen Camaro.

Ha ha no this is not a serious response but I made myself chuckle with it...
Will Chevy ever put an LS7 inside a 5th-gen Camaro? Well...It would seriously hinder passenger room and might scratch the leather, but it might finally find a noble purpose for the backseat! ![]() Hahaha sorry I needed a good laugh for the day... I would love to see the LS7 in the Camaro. It would be one hell of a car, but I don't think they will just because the government is getting so strict with MPG's nowadays. I just don't see it happening :( |

I plan to get a V6 camaro eventually because the SS just doesn't make sense to me. However if they offered an LS7 I would surely get an SS.
