Yes, it would be a L99. The L99 is essentially a LS3 with AFM and VVT. All the other changes were made to support these technologies.

Which makes me wonder, is the new SS Sedan thats equipped with M6 still getting hit with the gas guzzler tax, or does the manual get them under the threshold for it? I haven't seen one in person to look at the window sticker yet.

I wonder if they'll even bother re-certifying the M6 SS since it will likely be low production, but if they do surely it'll at least qualify for a lower bracket GG tax, if not beat it completely.
