Couple more...dry sump is completely plumbed, EFI is wired with a base tune loaded and the new All Pro valve covers will be delivered today. Car cranks but won't start. Ditched the red top and ran a new ground cable directly to the starter. If the starter is shot I'll buy a Tilton. I know these high CR motors can be a pain to get going.

I haven't updated this in months...
Car made almost 700 to the tires, might crack that once everything's broken in. The cam is too small for the setup; we revved the motor out to 8700 but the cam peaks at 7800 and 10-15 CFM is being left on the table with those heads. It's going to need something in the mid .800 lift. Other than getting it to the track, really the only things left to do is clean up a little wiring in the engine bay. We're going to make some shake down passes, nothing crazy and see what the car wants/needs before everyone closes for the winter. Tried to run two weekends back and sat for four hours in the staging langes because a car broke, another hit the wall...and then the rain came. We're going again in another week or so. |
