True story.....Last week my wife and I are out house shopping for my daughter and the realtor came up and asked whether our Camaro was a V8 and how much horsepower it made. I answered that yes it was a V-8 and made 400 hp at the crank. He gestured over to his 2012 BMW 550 and asked me if I knew how much horsepower his made. I said ....well let me guess around 350 or so? He said ...nope ..it makes 550 horsepower and explained that is what the 550 stands for. I just said wow...I had no idea.

BTW , the house we looked at was deplorable.

Come to think of it I've been asked if I'm "having a midlife crisis?"(I'm only 23!) but my answer was yes, I need more mod money!

But for $75K for a DD/track car it would be a M4 all day long over a Z28. Fast, and built right. The GM build quality and the GM dealers that push back on any warranty issues scares me. Time will tell.
Yup, but I can't afford a M4 right now. Maybe a 435i with a M sport package! Lol Have you seen the luxuriously sporty interior on the Z28? Yeah...didn't think so! Plus they got the cool looking head and taillights!

But when it comes down to the American cars I'm Camaro all the way! Germans on the other hand, oh the Germans...

Nothing against Mercedes Benz cars, but too bad you couldn't have said "Funny, I heard the same thing about Mercedes owners..."

Only positive so far. Had a convo with an older guy the other day who stopped me when I got out of my SS and said "I had the original". We chatted for a minute and I found out he had a 67 Z28. I told him I was jealous and he shook his head and told me not to worry...I was doing fine. Hehe. Nice guy and seemed to really dig my car. I get a lot of compliments at drive-thrus too.

Most guys love it cuz their old ladies won't allow one. I can tell the Greenies who don't like like it but they don't say shit cuz it's fairly well known I'm about as PC as Larry the Cable guy. Probably helps that I'm the manager.

Only compliments on the street and lots of those. Most people can't carry on a real car conversation.

Like most, I'm constantly asked if it's the 8cyl and if it's stick -- which I reply that it is. Almost universally, I get the same response -- "Oh good...it'd be a crime if you didn't. They're not even real Camaros."

Admittedly, it makes me kinda mad that they dis the 6cyl so quickly as I know it's an awesome car and a great choice for a lot of people. I can't understand how people driving a ten year old beat would be so quick to be so judgmental about other people's car choices ----- it's just a car

I find most people that make the v8or v6 comment haven't ever been in the v6 especially a well modded one. If they been in some of the kick ass v6's we have on hear they wouldn't have much to say.

Even a stock on has more power than the avg 8 Cylinder car from 1970 up until last 4-5 years when the car company figured out how to make power and stay in emissions compliance and keep fuel milage respectable. The V6 has more then enough power for street legal driving.

Yeah, and the cars in 1970 had way more power than the ones from 1926. 1970 was 44 years ago.

This argument is stupid.
