I didn't notice those on the Canyons I looked at. I guess the cheapest fix would be plastidipping just that area.

Extended cab?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing or maybe even some roll-on bedliner. My only question would be if doing this might effect the corrosion warranty?

I noticed that on the rockers. In fact, my 06 Colorado is the exact same way, so i was pretty surprised to see it being done the same way on these all new 2015 trucks.

That said, it is far from a deal killer for me. Glad you liked the rest of the truck. The Canyon CC short box SLE you saw there is the truck I'd be after.

Jumped in one the other day and i was impressed. Was able to fit 4 grown men with no complaints of leg room or any complaints of hitting your head on the roof. Sits high enough to know you are in a truck but not to low that it feels like a minivan. My only complaint and its a pretty big one, is the location of the shifter. My knee was hitting it in park with ease and I can bet you that it will still be in the way when its in drive.

I drove one last week and noticed what you did while parked. However, as soon as shifted into drive, the shifter is so far back that you never touch it/feel it. It's only while shifted in park.

Glad to hear this but will still need to try it myself. This was my biggest complaint as well. Going to wait on extended cab anyway so plenty of time to get some of these on the lots for test drives.

Unless you guys are wide gentlemen or sit with your legs splayed out, I don't see how it could be an ongoing annoyance.

I guess GM could always make the shifter shaft taller to keep it away from the leg but I dunno.

Doesn't change the fact that it should be over maybe a few inches but still not a deal breaker for me.

Truck drove awesome. I am eagerly awaiting the Diesel

They are starting to ship extended cab versions now. Should start popping up on dealer lots in a few weeks time I'd guess???

Don't need the extra room and they look better to me.

Still haven't seen a Colorado or Canyon in person.
