Question about Headers
I currently have a muffler delete and a CAI intake. I'm looking at getting stainless works 1 7/8 long tube headers with high flow cats. In my opinion the muffler delete is too quite but I also don't want it to be over the top loud with Headers. I have a L99 and I still have the massive resonator in place. Anyone run a setup with headers and a muffler delete with the resonator in place?

The mid resonator doesnt do much for volume. It is more to mask the AFM buzz.

You will be too loud. You will hate it. Put a nice set of flowmasters on it and then do the headers

I have muffler delete and I have been strongly considering this cat back. Would I be disappointed if I got it? I mean are they really almost the same thing? I like loud but the muffler delete is definitely on the raspy side. |

One is when it was running on the dyno, another is just a rev video. The videos don't do its justice though obviously. I would say go with the cat back.. You will go from 2.5" to 3" and you also get the x pipe and all that. I wasn't raspy with just the muffler delete. But you will get a little rasp (not too much IMO) when you go Catless. I don't mind it personally. http://youtu.be/cBn2ufalEt8 http://youtu.be/hUBzOls_18E

I have longtube headers high flow cats and muffler delete but on LS3. First startup was a couple hours ago and I thought it was ALOT louder from people over exaggerating on here. but it soooo awesome.
