Vitesse Throttle Controller - Anything I have to worry about?

So, I've been contemplating purchasing the VTC for a few months now. I've heard nothing but good things, and I'd really like to give it a shot. However, is there anything I potentially have to worry about? I just don't want to be driving one day and have the ECU break on me or malfunction as a result of the VTC. I've always been a bit skeptical with technology in cars, a LOT of things can go wrong, and I just don't want my throttle to essentially break (or anything for that matter) because of the VTC. I just really would enjoy some peace of mind here before/if I purchase it.

I appreciate all input here,

Thanks!

I've spent a long time going through those threads, I know that everybody basically loves it. I'm just considering a year down the road, I'm worried that something in the VTC can go bad (as electronics do over time), which results in something really bad happening. Electronics suck.

Sure, you could hit a tree punching it too hard, or decide it aint enough and want a Ferrari. All these things are possible. Or enjoy life and the driver upgrade.

The good thing about the VTC is that you can easily remove it, in the case where you need to bring in your car for repairs and the ECU does not report anything, so the dealership would have no idea that you had one. Every performance modification comes with a risk, its really up to you if you are willing to accept a risk. These Throttle controllers have been available for a decade or so for other models and I haven't read any horror stories as a result. I researched quite a bit before purchasing...Research for yourself...brands like Blitz, Shadow, Apexi, etc...

I didn't think about the non-Camaro throttle controllers, thank you for bringing that up. I'll probably end up buying the VTC by the weekend.

You don't see the sense of it because you have never tried one. I know how to put the hammer down too... but the VTC makes it whole lot more fun. Maybe you should try one so you understand how they work?
