Hello guys,

i hope this is the right area to ask this questions.

I´m doing in July Holiday in california and in an Forum with lot´s of petrolheads i thougt i can ask about typical us Motorsport and perhaps someone could be so nice to help me.

i´m real interested in motorsports and my girlfriend an i do a 3 week roadtrip with starting in LA with route66, Grand Canyon, las vegas, san Francisco, highwaynr1 and a lot of more things. I have searched in the Internet about races that are in this time but i don´t found something.

It must not be the big thinks like nascar or something. Dirt track races, trophy trucks or other races where i don´t know the american Name i would like to see. Everything were a V8 engine makes the power

Could you guys be so nice to help me with Information? If this Information are in this Forum, please give me an link because it is real hard for an non native englisch Speaker to read this all.

I'd use www.speedventures.com to find local HPDE events here is Southern California.

Most of the time people will post local track event or AutoX event right here in this forum.

I think there is a NMCA EVENT in Fontana in the month of July. Drag racing and autoX. I'll look for the link.

The following site has numerous events. Most are car shows and cruise nights. Some driving events are mixed in. http://www.socalcarculture.com/events.html
Route 66 in western CA is not very interesting or even discernible. East of San Bernardino it gets better. Western AZ is very interesting Kingman, Hackberry, Seligman then Williams. Williams is the "Gateway to the Grand Canyon." Williams is a fun town to stay in.

Try Lucas Off-road website. Race July 18th and 19th at Glen Helen, San Bernardino. Night race to avoid the summer heat. Pro 4 and Pro 2 trucks along with the smaller classes. Lots of action. Top off road racers. I work for one of the teams , if we race I will give you a tour of the semi and cars.

Many thanks for this great offer. That´s a Thing, you will never see in Germany. But at that time we have to be back in Germany

It´s between LA, SanFranciso and Las Vegas there something with Truck Race or something like that?

I only know of this race, we don't do a lot of off-road racing in the summer. If I hear of something I will send it your way. Have a good time on your trip.
